How did you get your band name?

I’ve tried to abandon music a few times now.. tried to jump the proverbial ship you see. But every time it doesnt take long before my love for music comes along and drags me back into the game. So Love is dragging me. Cheesy? Yes. But it sounded cool. honestly it reminds me of something sinister but elegant at the same time. which is why I love it. like joe connelly’s dedication at the front of Bringing Out the Dead… “For those who work in the wells of the night.” I’ve always felt like we fall into that category.. and the name reminds me of that as well.

Memorable Tour Experience?

One night after a gig in NYC we all got really wrecked at a friends apartment on the upper west side. I thought it a good idea to put on a little dutch girl costume and go parading around down the avenues looking for trouble. High heeled boots and all. It was a glorious moment since everyone thought it was hilarious.. until I started getting propositioned by passers by. That’s when the joke got serious. Had I played my cards right I couldve made some mad cash that night. If only..

What bands are you influenced by?

The Chainsaw Kittens, Led Zeppelin, the Smashing Pumpkins, Foghat, Tom Selleck’s mustache.. you know.. the greats.

Who would be an ultimate artist for you to collaborate with musically?

Tom Waits.. hands down.

Top 3 albums you would take on a stranded island?

Heart Shaped World by Chris Isaak,  Because of the Times by Kings of Leon, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco

What has been the best moment for you all as a band so far?

Playing with Nine Inch Nails and Eagles of Death Metal over in Europe was pretty fuckin sweet.

If tattooed: What got you started getting tattooed? Do you have plans for any more?

I don’t know what got me started.. I think I just thought it’d look cool. now I enjoy the art of having something meaningful be available for me to see and remember why I got it. Like a personal post it note.. but cooler looking. plans for more?… yeah I imagine so.
