How did you get your band name?

We never liked names that were too obvious, so we aimed to think of something that could be interpreted different ways. The Downtown Fiction is what we came up with.

Memorable tour experience?

Its been amazing getting to see so much of the US, and we visited Japan just a few months ago, which was just incredible. We’ve had so many great experiences on tour, can’t wait to make even more!

What bands are you influenced by?

To name a few, blink-182, All-American Rejects, The Strokes, Jimmy Eat World

Who would be an ultimate artist for you to collaborate with musically?

MGMT are really great, we could make a funky track with them

Top 3 albums you would take on a stranded island?

Cameron: Rolling Stones – Sticky Fingers

Eric: mewithoutYou – Catch For Us the Foxes

David: Counting Crows – August and Everything After

If tattooed: What got you started getting tattooed? Do you have plans for any more?

Eric: I have a tattoo of the band Glassjaw’s logo because they’re one of my favorite bands. I definitely want more in the future.
